Embrace Ultra-Ability!: Wisdom, Insight & Motivation from the Blind Who Sees Far and Wide
Shirley Cheng is truly an inspiration to all. Her latest book is filled with wisdom and insight that we all hope to have. As she takes us on our journey of life, she gives readers tough questions to answer, and guidance on how to live a good life. Ms. Cheng has not had an easy life. Having been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis as an infant and becoming blind at the age of seventeen has not distracted the author from living life to the fullest. As one chapter states “Stay away from ‘ifs,’ it will only lead to more questions, pain and un-fulfillment.” We can’t change the past, we must learn from our mistakes. Her writing is easy to read and understand. The ability not to lecture to readers helps one see what she really is saying. Her thoughts cover topics such as happiness, staying focused, helping others, and being true to your self. The topics Ms. Cheng covers are subjects we know about but maybe have forgotten how to do. Her book is one that will be read over and over. When we get down on ourselves or the world around us, we can pick up and read “Embrace Ultra-Ability” by Shirley Cheng to feel better.
