"Bardic Tales and Sage Advice" is a collection of 16 stories and poems from authors around the world. The collection of stories is varied and there is something here to please any fans of science fiction, fantasy or horror. The stories are written by beginners and many of them, with some time and refinement could be the bestselling authors of tomorrow.

My favorites of the book were "The Lucky Card", "Dragon's Ire, Phoenix Flame" and "Reflections". Others, such as "Them" and "The Face She Remembers" fell short of my expectations. "Reflections" is one of the poems and I was very impressed with the writing. I don't normally read poetry, but found myself engrossed in the imagery and storyline. Anyone who likes horror should read "The Cat Lady". The only fault I can find is the shortness of the story. I would have been happy with a full length book. If you are looking for something unique to read, this would be a great book for you. If you have enjoyed any Science Fiction, Fantasy, or Horror in the past, I would recommend this book for some entertaining reading. I do feel that anyone that has extensively read any of these genres will be disappointed with the brief stories here.

"Bardic Tales and Sage Advice" is an easy reading book, bringing together some fresh, new ideas in fantasy, science fiction, and horror. It is a good book for anyone who hasn't read much from these genres before. The majority of the authors creatively present new and intriguing stories and back them up with good solid writing.
