"Translation is not a matter of words only: it is a matter of making intelligible a whole culture." Anthony Burgess
The translation of books is one of the most challenging kinds of translation because the prose should produce the same reaction on the reader as the original does. It also has to convey the author’s message intact. We realize this fact, and that’s why we co-operate with a select few freelance translators with a literal turn of mind.
Our rates principally depend on the number of words, complexity of the topic and the expected turn-around. The longer the deadline and the larger the volume, the lower the fee per word, this is why we must quote individually. However, the ballpark for up to an 80K words novel with 8 weeks turnaround is $0.05/word
