“Saving Laura” by Jim Satterfield is a fast-paced, action-packed thriller. “College Boy,” as he is called by the old men in the mountains, has gotten himself into a great deal of trouble by stealing drugs and money from Tom Tucker. Tom is the most notorious cocaine dealer in Aspen and is living the good life. That is until someone decides to take care of him and relieve him of his cocaine and his money. With the death of Tom Tucker on his hands, the only thing College Boy can do at this point is run, and run fast before anyone gets him.
College Boy’s name is really Shelby Lee and he has only one thing on his mind - saving his old girlfriend Laura. Little does he know that this adventure could cost him his life as well as the lives of others, but Shelby will do whatever he needs to do to save Laura from a despicable piece of scum – a scum who thinks nothing of abusing Laura or pimping her out. Shelby will risk his life for Laura and trusts only some old hermits he and his dad knew who live in the mountains.
I believe Jim Satterfield gives readers everything they could want in a book- action, thrills, love and risky behavior. His descriptions of the various characters and the scenery will have readers feel like they are there in the middle of all the action.
“Saving Laura” by Jim Satterfield is a book that is easy to read, will capture you from the first page and have you on the edge of your seat the whole time you are reading.
