I’ve always been a huge fan of Bob’s Red Mill products. I was pleased to discover a gluten-free cookbook created specifically for their customers. In “Bob’s Red Mill Everyday Gluten-Free Cookbook” by Camilla Saulsbury, there are 281 whole grain recipes offered. They range from breakfast foods, side dishes, main dishes, snacks, and desserts. The gorgeous pictures that showcase some of the recipes, made my stomach growl!

The cookbook begins with an introduction about a variety of gluten-free grains and other food products used in the recipes. The information provided will really help people who are new to cooking and the gluten-free lifestyle. Throughout the sections, extra tips are offered in regards to each particular recipe. For gift giving purposes, the measurements for ingredients are listed using two different standards, which will be useful to people in the United States and those abroad using the metric system. Many of the recipes are dairy free or vegan, and many other recipes could be easily converted.

Even if I weren’t avoiding gluten, I would still want to have this cookbook because the recipes sound incredibly delicious and I like the idea of adding more variety to my diet. Different types of ethnic foods are also covered, ranging from Mexican, Persian, Vietnamese, Thai, and good old American dishes. I think that people who are advised to avoid gluten will be thrilled to have this cookbook because they can cook for both themselves and their family without having to feel like anyone is being deprived.

I highly recommend this cookbook for people who like to cook. I especially recommend it to people with celiac disease who absolutely must avoid gluten. Bob’s Red Mill is a trusted brand and I look forward to being able to use the “Bob’s Red Mill Everyday Gluten-Free Cookbook” by Camilla Saulsbury to check out more of their products!
