“Way of the Real Faith” by D.A. Singh, PhD, is the first volume in the Real Faith Series. It is written to be a tool to help guide the reader to the right path of their spiritual destiny. Written in a friendly manner, this is not a hellfire and brimstone religious kind of book, which I found to be very refreshing. Instead, Dr. Singh has written this book in a friendly, positive way that is easy to follow, and makes the reader feel like he really cares about their salvation.
This first volume covers sixteen chapters of topics. In each chapter, there is a discussion linking bible quotes to the topics. The New International Version (2011) edition is used to quote the Holy Scriptures, and citations are given so that the reader will know where to find them. Within these chapters are suggestions on how one can apply this knowledge to their life. There are also footnotes that give a brief, deeper explanation of the terms used. Also included, is a helpful glossary that can be used for quick reference. This book is not written for people of a particular religion or race but it is definitely Christian based. The author also states that it can be read by people from 10 to 100 years old, and I completely agree with this statement. I also feel that it is a perfect choice for someone who is new to the Christian faith to use as a guide to reading along with the Bible.
“Way of the Real Faith” gave me a lot to think about and reflect upon. The topics covered represent a variety of areas in our life that most people need to address. Quoting from sacred scripture really brought the Bible to life for me. As an aside, there is a chapter titled, “The New Age,” and it is important to note that this is not in reference to this being a new-age book, because that is not the case.
Overall, I feel that “Way of the Real Faith” by D.A. Singh, PhD, is a must-read for people who are interested in learning more about scripture. It would make a wonderful gift for someone new to this path.
