Not only am I a fan of quotes, be it inspirational or humorous, but quotes about the meaning of life and expanding your horizons, which are contextualized, make them all the more meaningful. In “Adventure Inward: A Risk Taker’s Book of Quotes” by Jonathan Wunrow, he takes us on a deep spiritual and inner journey through an outward glance at all the great adventures life has to offer.

When thinking about adventure, it is important to note that any adventure, big or small, impossible or easy, is important in personal development. Human lives are made up of the many experiences and adventures that happen, but what humans take from these experiences is transferrable to the human race, and that is the beauty of this book. Jonathan Wunrow is able to compile quotes about single adventures, and he paints a mosaic to which everyone can relate. An event can be singular, but the lessons from that event help push the world forward.

Wunrow organizes the book in such a way that we are taken on an adventure throughout the book. He starts with questions such as “Why play a risky game?” or “What qualities make a good or successful risk taker, or a good adventurer?” I’m not sure how he compiled all the quotes and organized them in such a way that they tell a story, but his structure holds the book together

While this may not be a book that you can read all in one sitting, it is a good one to have if you need a kick start in the inspirational or inter-developmental area. Jonathan Wunrow’s “Adventure Inward: A Risk Taker’s Book of Quotes” is a great book to have in your home and will guarantee interesting conversations.
