Finding Sutton’s Choice by Brenda Haas follows Charlotte Sutton, a budding, Pittsburgh-based writer who receives a sudden phone call that alters her life irrevocably. Charlotte has spent most of her life distancing herself from her past and the father who abandoned her. She left her Ohio hometown behind and has tried to make her own way ever since. But learning that her estranged father, Chuck, is possibly suffering from Alzheimer’s forces her to return to the town she swore she’d left behind. This book really focuses on relationships, mainly through Charlotte and her father, her secret half-brother Adam, and her high school friend Sammy.
