My Husband is Going to Kill Me is a propulsive psychological novel that will have readers constantly second-guessing the intentions of the characters. Through alternating perspectives, we discover that both Monica and Andrew are flawed and keep secrets, but who will be the one to cross the line? Brimming with suspense and twisty revelations, plus a villain with a vendetta and tightly concealed family secrets, this novel will hold you hostage until the very last page.
The author has done an excellent job of developing engaging internal dialogue and planting seeds of doubt in the readers’ minds when they think they have things figured out. My strong sense of justice made me root for Monica. Nobody deserves to be afraid of their spouse. But there were moments when her narration seemed unreliable, and I wondered whether the author was intentionally leaving something out to lead readers astray. Andrew’s perspective was also highly intriguing. Although his bubbling rage was disturbing, I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was much more to his story. Traymore offers readers the bait, and we happily take it!
