The 2024 Literary Awards Program is Closed to Submissions – What Happens Next?

It’s that time of year again! The submission window for the 2024 Literary Awards Program is officially closed. Now, our reviewers are rolling up their sleeves and diving into the incredible books you’ve sent our way. Before we move forward, here are a few important reminders and deadlines to keep everything on track:

📌 ALL READING MATERIALS ARE DUE: DECEMBER 31, 2024

IF YOU CHOSE TO SUBMIT PHYSICAL COPIES we’ll need your print books by this date. If we haven’t received your books by then, we’ll need a digital copy to keep your submission active. Unfortunately, as outlined in our guidelines, any missing materials as of December 31, 2024 will lead to disqualification (entry fees are non-refundable). Please don’t delay – incomplete submissions can push back finalist and winner announcements.

🔍 What’s Next?

We know you’re eager to hear feedback and results, and our reviewers are hard at work! Here’s a timeline to keep in mind:

• Reviews: Posted as soon as we receive them (many of you already have yours in hand).
• Completion of Reviews: Our goal is to have all books read, reviewed and posted by the end of February 2025.
• Finalists and Winners: Announced by mid/end-March 2025.

This process takes time because we do things differently. There’s no automated checklist—our reviewers read every book in full, considering its merits thoughtfully. As a “reviewer’s choice” awards program, the quality of reviews plays a critical role, though final decisions factor in additional considerations as well.
