
Lizzy Brannan has an MFA in Theatre for Youth, as well as her BFA in Vocal Performance and Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is passionate about arts education and has worked in Middle and High School Theatre and Choral Education for 22 years, with classrooms in TN, NC, and FL.
In the Spring of 2026, she was the Director, Composer, and Tour Manager for UNCG Theatre’s world premiere TYA play, The Lincoln Sisters of Deckawoo Drive. In the Fall of 2024, she was the UNCG College of Visual and Performing Arts Community Engagement Grant recipient for her Sensory-Friendly Theatre development and Shakespeare for All practicum work with the neurodivergent Core Members of Peacehaven Farm in Whitsett, NC.
Over the years, she has received multiple awards, including 2022 ESU Scholar for studying at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, the 2022 Arts Fellowship Orlando recipient for Musical Theatre playwriting, and the Dr. Phillips Center Applause Award for Outstanding Director and Musical Director in 2019 and 2020 in Orlando, FL, as well as Disney’s Candlelight Processional High School Honor Choir Director. Her love of the arts has extended into writing reviews. In the future, she hopes to bring greater awareness of independent writers through her review writing.
